Dall’amicizia e dalla collaborazione di tre persone che avevano l’interesse comune nella commercializzazione e nella vendita di materie prime o rigenerate (tassello di maglia), fu creato, dall’acquisizione di un impianto attivo in provincia di Varese, una nuova società per la produzione di filati pettinati.
Dalle iniziali dei nomi dei tre soci nacque la Filatura a Pettine P3 all’epoca s.r.l..
Otto mesi dopo la nascita della società fu rinnovato interamente il parco macchine con nuovi macchinari . Iniziò così la produzione in proprio di filati pettinati. Alla Filatura P3 si aggiunse presto un’altra azienda, l’Industria Filati San Paolo s.r.l. e successivamente fu creata anche una nuova società Roccatura Ritorcitura Retrazione R3 s.r.l., che andava a completare così il ciclo produttivo dei filati che erano richiesti dalla clientela dell’epoca.
Nel 1980 dalla fusione delle sopraccitate aziende nacque l’attuale Filatura a Pettine P3 SPA.
Per completare il ciclo nel 1987 fu anche creato un impianto per la tintura in rocche Rificolor s.r.l.
Nel 1995 si aggiunse alla produzione di soli filati classici per maglieria, una linea di filati fantasia grazie al supporto dei terzisti nel distretto pratese.
Oggi la Filatura a Pettine P3 SpA offre ai propri clienti varie tipologie di filati fantasia e classici per maglieria in diverse composizioni e titoli sempre all’avanguardia e alla ricerca di nuove idee per una maggiore soddisfazione del Mercato.

From the initial of the names of the three partners was born FILATURA A PETTINE P3 srl.
Eight months after, the spinning machine of the company was entirely renovated. So it began its own production of combed yarn. FILATURA A PETTINE P3 was added another company, INDUSTRIA FILATI SAN PAOLO srl, and after few years was born ROCCATURA RITORCITURA R3 srl, which was to complete the cycle of production of yarns which were requested by customers.
In 1980 from the merger of the companies it was born the current FILATURA A PETTINE P3 SPA.
In 1987 for complete the production cycle was also created a plant for the dyeing bobbins, RIFICOLOR srl.
In 1995 it joined the classic yarn collection, was created a fancy yarns with the support of many textile company in Prato
